Silvie Zoubková Photographer: Lukáš Hausenblas We undertook the reconstruction of a corner apartment in a corner historic apartment building in Prague's Holešovice. The initial condition was a dilapidated apartment with an unfortunate layout with passageways and unusable rooms. Apart from a few original doors with original fittings, there was nothing to preserve. The new owner's wish was contemporary urban living for a couple and space to work from home. When all non-load bearing partitions were demolished, with the exception of all the walls, the result was a polygonal perimeter wall space with many different angles. Lejdar, J. Vlček www.mobilehut.eu The House on Wheels is the result of the search for a new form of mobile living. This search responds to the trends of the global Tiny Houses movement. Mobile Hut is in line with the current trend of nomadic "consume less" lifestyle. It is a design house that offers full-fledged living, with the added benefit of being able to be packed up and transported anywhere. Every millimetre of space has been thought out, four people can sleep comfortably and the layout of the house can be used very variably by positioning the built-in furniture. Thanks to the solar panel, hi-tech batteries, filters and tanks, the house can last up to 14 days without any connection. PODCAST

Lejdar, J.Gabriel in cooperation with Ing. arch. Jiří Kučera We designed a restaurant and bar for foreign investors in the neighbouring apartment buildings. The starting points for us were the location of Prague's Vinohrady and the intended clientele of foreign university students inhabiting the upper floors of the building. In both spaces, we chose the path of a layered interior, from a fixed tectonic division of the space to a less static layer of fixed furnishings, to a temporary layer with areas designed for original graphics and installation of art objects. Thus, the goal for us was not a static interior, but the mood and atmosphere of the establishment, achieved through historically common practices with the involvement of other artistic professions - restoration, painting, printmaking and young artists.

Lejdar, E. Svobodová From an inappropriately designed apartment to trendy housing for a young couple. Prague's Letná district is generally hailed as an ideal location for living. The investors bought an apartment in a loft extension on Kamenická Street. It was built recently, in the 1990s, and unfortunately carried many of the ills typical of this period. The biggest problem of the apartment was the unsatisfactory layout with several sloping walls and a poorly usable but spacious corridor. The investors wanted to turn an unusable space with cold and too dark tiles into a welcoming entrance to the apartment. Due to the slanted walls, the layout created several deaf and hard-to-reach places. Although the apartment is 88 m2, it felt cramped. Therefore, the main idea was to open up the layout and increase its functionality, increase the living space and give the apartment new and fresh colours. Vlček Photographer: Filip Šlapal The investor's brief was to build a new family villa for a family of seven on a small sloping plot on the edge of the park, with a beautiful view of the Smíchov valley and the opposite bank of the Vltava. The sober architecture of the three-storey, flat-roofed house responds to the context of the residential area with generous tenement and family villas from the early 20th century and the interwar period. The minimalist volume of the house is complemented and relieved by two spacious terraces and a light roofed entrance and parking spaces. The subtle terrace structure on the ground floor is directly accessible from the generously glazed main living area with the best views of the valley and the park. Vlček, The brief for the complete reconstruction of a prefabricated apartment was to create a living space for a family of four. Originally, the apartment had only 2 bedrooms and a large number of poorly used spaces. The layout is newly structured with atypical furniture to make the space as efficient as possible and at the same time look generous. In addition, the apartment had to accommodate a piano, a large bookcase, a work area with a computer and plenty of storage cabinets. The furniture is completely custom-made and unified by the white colour, which visually increases the space. The flooring throughout the apartment is designed in natural marmoleum. The parents' sleeping area can be separated by three sliding panels. Pecharová www.statekstarytyn.cz The intention was to restore the original character of the historic buildings, to clean the buildings from the insensitive interventions of the last 50 years and to add agro-tourism and recreational use of the area. The design of the new layout of the main building takes into account the requirements of running a guesthouse, the interior highlights the original elements of the building and the atmosphere is completed by elements of contemporary architecture. The attic is used for duplex units of the guesthouse. The farm barn, formerly used for housing cattle, is newly designed for weddings or other social events. Natural materials are used to the maximum extent in the new buildings, the form of the buildings is based on the archetype of village barns and barns.

Kučera Sensitively reconstructed apartment house from the beginning of the 20th century with a contemporary extension envisages the possibility of use for permanent housing or recreational use as well as an investment property. The chamber project contains a total of 11 residential units. The project offers apartments of different sizes from 50 m2 to 110 m2, on the ground floor with direct access to the garden, on the other floors to private balconies or spacious terraces. In the basement of the building there are designed common areas for wellness, ski room, drying room and storage cubicles. Originally a three-storey house, it is increased by a modern extension level with 5 duplex apartments. Each has its own private roof terrace screened from the neighbouring apartments. Vlček in cooperation with F. Kříž The family came with a wish to build a classic brick house, simple in space and shape. For this project, they had already prepared a rather complicated plot of land on an elevated slope above the village. Because of the high demands on the complementary programme, the architects designed a building divided into two masses: a brick dwelling house with a gable roof, which is interspersed with the single-storey mass of a wooden "barn". The living area is essentially a plain and clean archetype of a house with classic village dirty white plaster and a main cornice. The ground floor is where all family life takes place and the attic, on the other hand, is dedicated to individual activities.
