Svobodová We designed a luxurious villa on a spacious plot of 1353 m2. The villa is located in the northern part of the plot, where is connected to a dead end and quiet local road. The southern part of the land is bordered by the Divoká Šárka nature park. The main requirement of the investor was a modern and minimalist house, which will provide enough space and privacy for its inhabitants. The future villa has 250 m2 of usable area and it naturally opens to a garden terrace with a summer kitchen. It is a simple mass with two above-ground and one underground floor. The above-ground floors are divided by a concrete roof with an overlap. On the ground floor, the roof creates a covered terrace and secured parking. Large-format windows with shading face the southern part of the plot, into the garden. Lejdar, J.Gabriel in cooperation with Ing. arch. Jiří Kučera We designed a restaurant and bar for foreign investors in the neighbouring apartment buildings. The starting points for us were the location of Prague's Vinohrady and the intended clientele of foreign university students inhabiting the upper floors of the building. In both spaces, we chose the path of a layered interior, from a fixed tectonic division of the space to a less static layer of fixed furnishings, to a temporary layer with areas designed for original graphics and installation of art objects. Thus, the goal for us was not a static interior, but the mood and atmosphere of the establishment, achieved through historically common practices with the involvement of other artistic professions - restoration, painting, printmaking and young artists.

Vlček in cooperation with F. Kříž The family came with a wish to build a classic brick house, simple in space and shape. For this project, they had already prepared a rather complicated plot of land on an elevated slope above the village. Because of the high demands on the complementary programme, the architects designed a building divided into two masses: a brick dwelling house with a gable roof, which is interspersed with the single-storey mass of a wooden "barn". The living area is essentially a plain and clean archetype of a house with classic village dirty white plaster and a main cornice. The ground floor is where all family life takes place and the attic, on the other hand, is dedicated to individual activities.

Lejdar, J.Gabriel, J.Vlček, A. Peteráková Quiet, slightly winding street with traditional gables of houses. At the other end of the plot and a few metres below, a green meadow of a natural park with the Pitkovice stream. At the same time in the centre of Benice, with amenities at your fingertips. Qualities that are miles away from the satellite character of the housing. On unconventionally elongated plots, we have designed eight individual houses of different sizes, architecturally contemporary and sober, with an emphasis on sustainability and low-energy solutions. The result is a compact development of two house types - four houses with a traditional silhouette with brick tiles, rendered gables and timber fences, naturally linked to the typical surrounding development along the street. The second quad of houses, set into the hillside one storey below, with flat vegetated roofs, larch cladding and generous glazing, completes the frontage of the development towards the valley. The two types of houses form a soft transition between the street and the park, at the same time forming an urban unit together. Show More

RESTORATION OF PUBLIC SPACES IN VILLAGES IN THE ÚŠTĚCKO REGION Study 2019 Project 2020 Úštěcko J. Vlček, J. Kusbachová in cooperation with the landscape studio Symbio studio - M. Gelová, S. Chlebovská The project and discussion with local residents is the first step in the restoration of public spaces in the villages of Úštěcko. We carried out a field survey of the villages and analysed the available documents, including historical ones. The purpose of the project was to map the needs of the villages from the point of view of the local inhabitants as well as from the independent point of view of the project authors. In Dubičná we addressed the problem of poor access to drinking water wells and the local pond. In the villages of Konojedy, Rochov, Starý Týn and Vědlice we proposed modifications or creation of new playgrounds. For the villages of Lhota, Ličenice, Lukov and Ostré we have prepared studies for revitalisation or creation of public seating. For Tetčiněves, we proposed to make the local Úštěcké brook accessible with a view of the historical bridge with the possibility of creating a resting place with access to the brook and a view of the historical stone bridge. The individual interventions will be gradually implemented from 2021 onwards from the LAG subsidies. Lejdar, J. Vlček, M. Kłos, E. Svobodová Photography: Michaela Klementová In the family villa from the 1970s, thanks to a complete reconstruction, not only 4 residential units were created, but also an office and warehouse space for the company headquarters. These are located on the ground floor and in the basement. The original birch-coloured facade was replaced with a light grey one, the entrance to the house, the parking area and the area in front of the house were modified. In particular, we changed the levels in the entrance area of the house and removed an unnecessary chamber. The entrance hall is now more spacious and serves its function better. The staircase has also been fully renovated with new panelling and handrails. The villa offers 4 apartment units with a layout of 2 + kk for rent. Two of the apartments have balconies overlooking the garden and one is designed as a duplex. For the interior design we took inspiration from the 70s and used playful tiles and colourful wallpapers. Each apartment has a different colour scheme; one is red, one is turquoise, and the others are in petrol and blue. From the beginning, the investor had the intention to rent the apartments as partially furnished, so we designed only built-in furniture - kitchens, wardrobes and furniture in the hallways.

The extension is accessed by an existing staircase and a newly built elevator located in the original skylight.
